Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2025-11-17

Nimos (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. It applies to our website, apps, and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

Account & Business Info: name, email, company name, industry, and settings.

Operational Data: accounting records you enter or import (e.g., products, invoices, journal entries, payments).

Usage & Device Data: interactions, pages/screens viewed, device/approximate location, and diagnostic logs.

Payment Data: processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers or CVC.

2. How We Use Information

We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including bookkeeping features, invoicing, and customer support. We do not sell your data.

3. Optional Anonymous Contribution

With your explicit opt-in (Settings → Privacy), we may use your data in aggregated, de-identified form to help improve product quality and features. We apply safeguards such as minimum cohort sizes and statistical techniques to reduce re-identification risk. You can turn this off at any time. Turning it off stops future use; previously produced aggregate reports remain aggregate.

4. Payments (Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe or pay, certain information (e.g., name, email, billing address, IP, order details) is shared with Stripe to complete the transaction and prevent fraud. We do not store full card numbers or CVC. If you onboard to Stripe for payouts or Connect features, we may share business verification details you provide to satisfy compliance.

5. Use of AI

Some features may use AI to automate or enhance your experience (e.g., categorization or content formatting). We do not use your data to train external AI models without your explicit consent. Any internal improvements follow this Policy and, where applicable, your opt-in to anonymous contribution.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encryption in transit, secure storage, and access controls. No system is 100% secure; you are encouraged to regularly export and back up your important records.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

We use trusted providers (e.g., hosting, email delivery, analytics, payments). They access data only to perform services for us and are bound by contractual privacy and security obligations.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

9. Data Retention & Backups

We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. Upon account deletion, we may delete your data subject to legal/regulatory retention requirements.

10. Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your data. You can also opt in/out of anonymous contribution in Settings → Privacy. Contact support for assistance.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children. Do not use the Service if you are under the minimum age required by your jurisdiction.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this Policy; material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice.
